Plows are thought to have been invented in Mesopotamia in approximately 3000 BC. An advanced form of the plow, known as the steel plow was invented however By John Deere, during the early settlement of Mid-west and specifically Illinois. It is however, in Mesopotamia, an early civilization along the dry Euphrates where the first plow is believed to have been invented.
