Why do radio telescopes convert radio waves to electrical signals for analysis

This is because telescopes cannot interpret the radio signals as they are. Telescopes operate with electrical circuits and chips that understand binary language (0s (off) and 1s (on)). Therefore, the radio signals must be converted to electrical signal for interpretation.
