Think of it as if it's a song stuck in your head, a catchy rhythm on a metered poem makes the poem very catchy and easy to remember because of the stressed and unstressed sounds combined with the rhythm.
Meter and Rhythm are the poetic "techniques" you're looking for, unless you have a set of literary devices im supposed to choose from.
