Number your line 0 to -15 .  Dive that in 3 equal parts   -15,-14,-13,-12,-11,-10,-9,-8,-7,-6,-5,-4,-3,-2,-1,0.  So lands on -11 & -6, & 0  Now each set consist of 5 the fore - 5.  To check you multiply   -5×3=-15
