A roster (also known as a rota) is a list of staff members (e.g. nurses, health care assistants, ward managers) with the times they are scheduled to work during a specific period (e.g. 1 week). Rostering is the task of creating a roster. Hospital wards require continuous staffing, to ensure the patients always have care.
