The standard form:

[tex]Ax+By=C[/tex]

The slope-intercept form:

[tex]y=mx+b[/tex]

m - slope

b - y-intercept

We have m = 3 and b = -5.

Substitute:

[tex]y=3x-5[/tex]         subtract 3x from both sides

[tex]-3x+y=-5[/tex]             change the signs

[tex]3x-y=5[/tex]
