Answer: 5/8

Step-by-step explanation: When we have to sum fractions, we need to find the commom denominator for both fractions. In this case is 8. Then, we change the fraction, according to the new denominator, mantaining the ratio.

This way, 1/2 = 4/8. The other one we do not to change because the denominator is already 8.

So, now 4/8 + 1/8 is 5/8. The picture attached shows the bars and it is possible to see that 2/10 is smaller than 1/2 and cannot be the final answer.
