In The Book Thief, Rudy Steiner died because of a bomb explosion in Himmel Street in October 1943. Nazi Party's soldiers were constantly roaming around the fictional place called Molching, Germany which is located near Munich. During this time, people who lived in there were required to be part of the organization established to honor Hitler.
