How did the Greeks attempt to stop Rome’s invasion of Greece?

Rome inevitably invaded Greece since Rome was far too powerful and skilled in military combat. To be free from Roman leadership, Greece supported the enemies of Rome in wars as they believed Rome will be weaker with combined enemies. And it worked, soon they were free from the Roman empire.
