we can understand this in 2 ways ==>necessity of parenthesis.

1)
10²*x=500
==>x=500/100
==>x=5

2)
10^(2x)=500
==>2xln(10)=ln(500)
==>x=ln(500)/(2ln(10))
==>x=1,3494850021680094023931305526378....
