-When the last digit is 5 or more
When should we round down?
- When the last digit is 4 or less
For 8 1/16, we need to round down to the nearest whole because 1/16 is closest to 0.
For 2 5/8, we need to round down to the nearest half because 5/8 is closer to 4/8 than it is to 8/8.
8 - 2 4/8
64 / 8 - 20/8
44 / 8 = 5 4/8 = 5 1/2
