Given f(x)=7(9−x)−4, what is the value of f(−1) ?

Solution:

f(x) = 7(9 - x) - 4

f(-1) = 7(9 - (-1)) - 4

f(-1) = 7(10) - 4

f(-1) = 70 - 4

f(-1) = 66

Solution:

f(-1) = 7(9-(-1))-4

f(-1) = 7(9+1)-4

f(-1) = 7(10)-4

f(-1) = 70 - 4
