What did the US know about Japan’s plan before the attack?

US and Japan were at the last straw. The US suspected that the Japanese were up to something but they didn’t know when or where something would happen. They thought it would be in the Philippines. They clearly didn’t know much considering they were unprepared and they were wrong about where the Japanese would attack. Hope this helps!
