Which event between 1789 and 1795 was a turning point in the French Revolution? Explain your reasoning.

The storming of the Bastille in 1789 kickstarted the period of violence that defined the French Revolution. That was a pretty big turning point, as the serfs finally attempted to use violence against the nobility and aristocrats.
