So (f-g)(x) is f(x)-g(x) so you have

(3x+10)-(2x-4)

Distribute the negative in to the 2x-4 to get

3x+10-2x+4

Then combing like terms you have

3x-2x+10+4

And then that gives you

x+14

So (f-g)(x)=x+14
