y intercept when x =0

 y=-x+3
 y = -0 +3
 y = 3

 the slope is -1

Your Y-Intercept is 3, and your Slope is -1 or -1/1. In the Slope Intercept formula (y=mx+b) m is the slope and b is the y intercept. When there is only an x or a -x, then it is an assumed 1 in front of the x.
