The point of the line segment is (0,0) here’s why
If you take a ruler and place it across your piece of lined paper 6 inches of that ruler would make it the line segment no if you do an uneven measure your line segment would still stay the same so in a way a ruler would count for (0,6) of your line segment. Hopes this helps :)
