The answer would be k = -40.

Simplify 3/5k to 3k/5

Simplify 1/2k to k/2

Simplify 3k/-5 - 1 + k/2 to k/-10 - 1

Add 1 to both sides

Simplify 3 + 1 to 4

Multiply both sides by 10

Simplify 4 * 10 to 40

Multiply both sides by -1.
