There is three main types of tissues in your body:
nerve, muscle and connective tissue
There are also three types of muscle tissues : skeletal, cardiac and smooth muscles. Muscle tissue provides
a) posture and body support
b) locomotion (movement or the ability to move from one place to another.)
c) heat production.
Muscle tissue is examined with respect to function and types of muscle, structure and mechanism of contraction and attachments.
