Hey there!

a(x + 1) - b(x + 1)

= a(x) + a(1) - b(x) - b(1)

= ax + 1a - bx - 1b

= ax - bx + a - b

Therefore, your answer SHOULD BE:

ax - bx + a - b

Good luck on your assignment and enjoy your day!
