Y= -2/5x + 4

Because you have to plug the order pair in to y = Mx + b

(x,y)
(5,-8)

-8 = -2/5(5) + b
-8 = -2 +b
4 = b
Or b = 4

We know the slope you’re just trying to find b

Answer

2x+5y=50 or 2x-5y=50 try the first  one first

Step-by-step explanation:

y-y1= m(x-x1)

5(y+8)=2/5(x-5)

5y+50=2x-10

-2x+5y+40=-10

-2x+5y=-50

2x+5y=50

     or

2x-5y=50
