Answer: 10 [tex]\frac{1}{3} [/tex] portions

8 ÷
[tex]\frac{3}{4} [/tex] . Make 8 a fraction, and find the reciprocal of [tex]\frac{3}{4} [/tex], then multiply.
v    v
[tex]\frac{8}{1}[/tex] x [tex]\frac{4}{3} [/tex] = [tex]\frac{32}{3} [/tex]. Now we have to simplify our product.
[tex]\frac{32}{3} [/tex] = 10 [tex]\frac{1}{3} [/tex] , or 10.66666 (goes on forever) portions
