Two of the most well-known examples of  metamorphic rocks are limestone changing to marble, and shale changing to slate. Please have in mind that Marble is formed from limestone when the limestone is affected by heat and high pressure during the process that we call as metamorphism. And Slate is a metamorphic rock that is created by the alteration of shale or mudstone by the same process
