8(2+6) = 16 + 48

or

16(1+3) = 16 + 48

or

4(4+12) = 16 + 48

a is a common factor

so find common factor
factor
16=2*2*2*2
48=2*2*2*2*3
common factor is 2*2*2*2 or 16
so

16+48=
16(1)+16(3)=16(1+3)=16(4)=64
