k = 12, first add one to both sides, then multiply both by 4.

2 = k/4 - 1

Add 1 to both sides of your equation :-)

2 + 1 = k/4

Simplify your equation :-)

3 = k/4

Multiply both sides of your equation by 4 so that K is all by itself / isolated.

3 × 4 = k

12 = k
