The height of a sunflower increases from 82 cm to 1 metre in a week. Find the percentage increase in height.

So, the sunflower is increasing from .82 meters to 1 meter.  This is a .18 meter increase. We need to figure out what percent of 82 18 is.  We do this by dividing 18 by 82 and multiply the result by 100 to get a percent.  This equals 21.95%
