I guess you want to find the values of x & y. If so:
7x+2y=24
8x+2y=30
1) multiply the 1st equation by (-1)==> -7x-2y=-24
2) Now add -7x-2y=-24 to 8x+2y=30 ==> x + 0y = 6 ==>
x = 6
3) replace x by 6 in any of te two equation & you will find
y= - 9
