A mixed number is a whole number plus a fraction.The smallest whole number is 1.So no mixed number can be less than 1.
Mixed numbers that are 1/3 apart and are between 0 and 2 
could be (1-1/3) and (1-2/3).
They could also be (1-1/6), (1-1/2), and (1-5/6) .
