A has coordinates (1,1) and B has coordinates (4,3). if AB is a side of a square, what is the area of the square?

Area of the square:
A = s²
and s = AB = sqrt ( ( 4 - 1 )² + ( 3 - 1 )² )
s = √ ( 9 + 4 ) = √ 13
A = ( √13 )² = 13
Answer: Area of the square is 13 units².
