The H zone completely disappear in a fully contracted sarcomere because THE SACROMERE SHORTEN AS THE Z LINE ARE PULLED CLOSER .
The Z lines which denotes the end of the sacromere are far apart at rest, in a contracted muscle they are drawn closer to one another while the H zone disappear.
