-2=k is the answer. You need to get the expression by its self so you divid by 4 and subtract 3

To solve for k, you first need to distribute the 4 to k+3.

4= 4(k+3)= (4*k)+(4*3)= 4k+12

Then you subtract over any constants:

4-12=4k+12-12
