x=−3x=-3

Here the steps

2x+1−1x−1=2xx2−12x+1-1x-1=2xx2-1

 x−3(x+1)(x−1)=2x(x+1)(x−1)x-3x+1x-1=2xx+1x-1

(x+1)(x−1)x+1x-1

x−3=2xx-3=2x

x=−3x=-3
