I think you mean to say you want the *Cartesian product* of the sets [tex]A[/tex] and [tex]B[/tex]:

[tex]A\times B=\{(x,1),(x,2)\}[/tex]

[tex]B\times A=\{(1,x),(2,x)\}[/tex]
