Since 9.8 feet is 9 feet and 8 inches, and there is a TOTAL of 12 inches in a foot, the mixed number would be 9  and 8/12, or 9 8/12. If we simplify, it will be 9 2/3. So the answer is 9 2/3. (Its beter to use the simplified one.)
