KDKA in Pittsburgh
It started reporting in real time at night of Nov. 2, 1920, with a communication of the results of the Harding-Cox presidential election to the American people . The accomplishment of the KDKA and of the melodic projects that were started from there on inspired others to introduce comparable stations; a sum of eight were working in the United States before the finish of 1921.
