To find the Volume of a cylinder use
[tex]V=3.14 r^{2} h[/tex]
[tex]628=3.14 r^{2} (8)[/tex]
multiply 3.14 by 8
[tex]628=25.12 r^{2} [/tex]
Divide by 25.12 on both sides
[tex]25= r^{2} [/tex]
Find square root of both sides
[tex] \sqrt{25} = \sqrt{ r^{2} } [/tex]
[tex]5 = r[/tex]

Hi there!

Volume = pi * r^2 * h
628 = 3/14*r^2*8

Now, we simplify:
628=25.12 * r^2
25 = r^2

r = 5

Hope this helps!
