Louis Moreau Gottschalk was an american born piano player. He was born in New Orleans, in May 8 1829, and died in December 18, 1869 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
He was widely known as a virtuoso player for his talent with the romantic piano. He spent most of his professional time outside the US.
