Mohandas Gandhi
Gandhi is renowned as the Indian
spiritual and political leader who coordinated and led a popular national
struggle for independence against British imperial rule on the back of a
non-violent campaign. This involved the refusal to obey certain laws, demands
and commands of the British colonialists.
