11x + 4 = 15x - 14

Subtract the like terms:

4 - -14 = -28

11x = 15x - 28

Then the other like terms:

-11x - 15x = -4x

-4x = -28

Divide -28 by -4 to get x:

-28/-4 = 7

x = 7
