Slavery is not liked in Islam. The Holy Prophet (SAW) commanded the Muslims to treat the slaves kindly. They should be treated equally as others and not differentiated. They should be given the same food which the master eats. Muslims shouldn't be cruel on them, but instead, it was preferred to set them free.
