One of the Black Power movement's most outspoken people, Fannie Hamer Angela Davis or Doris Derby , was a socialist whose gun was used to kill a judge.
It was Angela Davis.
It was alleged that the guns she owned were used to by suspects who took
a judge and three jurors hostage and this led to the deaths of those
involved. She was arrested and tried but
was pronounced not guilty because even though she owned the gun it was not enough
grounds to find her guilty of the crime.
