Hofstede's individualism versus collectivism dimension concentrated on the connection between the individual and his or her colleagues. In social orders where collectivism was underlined, the ties between people were tight. In such social orders, individuals were naturally introduced to assemblages and collectives, for example, more distant families, and everybody was supposed take care of the interests of his or her collective.
