Solve for Y: 3(2y+4)=4(2y-1/2)

3(2y + 4) = 4(2y - 1/2)

Distributive property on both sides.

5y + 12 = 8y - 2

+2

5y + 14 = 8y

-5y

14 = 3y

/3

y = 4.66
