1.5(x + 4) – 3 = 4.5(x – 2)

1.5x + 1.5 × 4 - 3 = 4.5x - 4.5 × 2

1.5x + 6 - 3 = 4.5x - 9

1.5x + 3 = 4.5x - 9

1.5x = 4.5x - 9 - 3

1.5x = 4.5x - 12

-3x = -12

x = 4
