Civil War affected life in Texas in terms of freedom and shortages in various kinds. People fled to safer refuge to avoid conflict and slavery. Political belief was also greatly influenced. Importation of goods ceased due to damage of transportation networks and blockades in ports. Men were forced to join in combats and women stood before their husband’s role. Life in Texas was in turmoil.
