A weakness the US had during the war of 1812 was Britains military. The British army was most powerful, and the navy was strong, dominating power in the seas. The US has struggles funding and paying for its military. A strength for the US, although, was that Britain’s was across the sea, which took months for the navy to reach the US soil. To add on, the Americans also had a larger number of ships, but sadly, had a smaller amount of troops and weapons.
