- Multiply by the conjugate [tex]\frac{4+ \sqrt{3} }{4+ \sqrt{3}}[/tex]

= [tex]\frac{5(4+\sqrt{3})}{(4-\sqrt{3})(4+\sqrt{3})}[/tex]

     [tex](4-\sqrt{3})(4+\sqrt{3})=13[/tex]

= [tex]\frac{5(4+\sqrt{3})}{13}[/tex]
