Some safety concerns can limit the rights of children and their ability to choose.

Let's take for example the choice to stay after school and talk to their friends. This might be important, as it can help develop social skills and hobbies, but some parents might consider it dangerous if they don't trust the area. Therefore they might decide to take away this choice.
