Simplify expression.
(6x + 6x - 4)+(7-8r+7)
I have the answer but I just need someone to explain to me how to simplify it PLEASE HELP

What you need to do is simply take the answer

2(6x + 5 - 4r)
Multiply the two by everything in the parentheses,
making the simplified answer:
12x + 10 - 8r.
