The curse of Macbeth is most used by a theatre. If you are in a theatre it is forbidden to say "Macbeth" for the fear of bad luck.

There is actually a couple answers to this question because some thought Shakespeare had cursed it himself, and some thought withes that was present at the play cursed it, no one really knows.
